Darth Popper

With everybody feeling under the weather still, Beck created creative ways to entertain the children. Hyrum resorterd to Play-doh. He sculpted these little creatures to proudly display.
Macy spent hours reading to Tiger as she sat on her lap. Macy has become quite the little reader. She can read just about anything and is learning to love it like her sisters.
She also creates her own books. Our family contrinbution to help save the Rain Forest consists of limiting the number of reams of paper that Macy is allowed to use each day in the creation of her pictures, stories, etc.
Emma assisted by taking care of the animals. It' a hard job, but somebody's got to do it. Hyrum proved that too much spare time is in fact a dangerous thing. Combine that with his sisters' infatuation with Star Wars, and this is what you get!

Valentines Day! Kinda!?

We aren't sure exactly what is going on here either- but apparently they are "dead bugs"
After a long day, Hyrum had to tap into his Kung Fu training to deal with everything. This is his version of Master Shifu- No charge for awesomeness!

Beck spent all day Friday at the school putting on 3 different Valentine's Day Parties. One for each of the girls' classes.

Even if Valentines Day wasn't romantic- we all sat around sick- at least one couple found love- Puppy Love that is!

Hyrum, Mae, and Beck all stayed home sick today. Mae was throwing up all day yesterday, Hyrum had a fever, and Beck can't get rid of her sinus infection.

With everyone being sick, Addie, Emma and Dad decided to make some of our favorite cookies. (Radical Rob's chocolate chip cookies from the food channel showdown. The recipe always claims that it makes a lot more than we end up with. I am sure it would if the batter wasn't so yummy!

Another week is over

Pretty much one of the most uneventful weeks we have had in a long while. We spent all day on Moday and a couple of other days as well at the doctor's office. Everyone has been fighting something. Mom and Dad got the brunt of oit this time with a wicked sinus infection.

Dad even found a few minutes of sleep on Sunday afternoon. I don't knoiw if it is sleep in the middle of the living room with all the kids running and playing and jumping on my head- but hey, take what you can get.

While Mom and Dad crashed this week, the kids found ways to entertain themselves, including the popular dropping clothspins from your nose into the empty bucket game. Like we said, a rather uneventful week.

A week in progress

On monday we were able to go the the Draper Utah Temple open house with the kids. We had such a great time. As we were getting ready for the day, Hyrum drug his feet all morning and all afternoon. I thought that he just wanted to stay home and play with his DS, but I was wrong. I finally got it out of him as I put him in his carseat. He had big tears rolling down his cheeks. "What's the Matter" I asked him and he cried "I am not ready to leave on my mission yet mom." Then it hit me, he had been telling the girls and I all day that he was going on a mission. I thought nothing of it until then. He has known that before you can serve a mission that you go through the Temple, and it was his time to go. He was so scared to leave us all, but in his little heart he would have gone. I think he was so excited to be able to stay with us!

After the Temple, we took all of the kids to roosters for dinner. They had these cool Wiki sticks that I think Nate had more fun with than the kids. He created these designer glasses that we all had to have. They are stylin!
Addie started the week with her Science project "Blowing Up". She and her Dad made what she called the Mentos Geyser. She worked hard on it and did a great job. Most of all she had a "blast"

The week ended on a great note. Our Nephew Nick (left) was baptized by his best friend Shorty (Right) on Saturday. This was a great day for our Family. Nick is such a great young man and we were so excited for him and his family.
