A day A day A day...A day

What is this? We are wondering the same thing. Macy once again got a hold of the camera and it is full of pictures like this. So... anyone who wishes can write in and guess. Who knows we may even have prize for the winner? Best of Luck!

This week Grandma and Grandpa Ashment came up for the night. While the girls and Grandma and I were busy inside crafting and cuttlebugging and having a blast, Grandpa was busy doing what he does best crafting in his own way. He came up to help us- build shelves for storage in the garage. Or as Nate put it from this picture, it looks like we finally got our start on our FAMILY FOOD STORAGE. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma.

This week was ordinary again. We were busy as ever, but we survived. That is the best we had. This is Emma's creation on one of our playdough days. A star wars playdough head. Would you expect anything else from her. She is a fanatic.

I got to run a couple of races this week and had a blast. The kids and Nate were as always so supportive. They made these cute signs that said "GO MOM AND SISTER MURPHY". I am so glad they could all be there. It is fun to see them there at the finish line.

When the sun was shining we took the chance to go to the park for the afternoon. The kids had a blast. It was a beautiful day. We have since had lots and lots of rain. We miss the days at the park.

Addie had a book report due this last week. She made a paper mache egg and here it is at its best. All the kids made one too. They had a blast. I forgot how messy, but fun these projects can be. So...thats when I asked Nate to supervise and I got to go to the store. Smart Me:) Super Super kidos.

Well, well. What more can I say, I picture really is worth a thousand words. Mae discovered one morning after she was dressed that it was cold outside. This was her remedy. Cutie pie. You make us giggle.

Em spinning. Hope you don't get dizzy. I did. Age does mean things to you. Oh to be young again.

Easter Sunday

Hyrum received a suit from our neighbor. This is the first time he has been able to fit into it. He loved the fact that he got to look like Dad and be a misionary.
Emma is sporting her new dress. The little munchkins keep getting bigger and bigger.

Macy is still Macy. Wild and crazy as ever.

Addie is also sporting a new dress.

We got them to sit down long enough for a quick picture in front of the Ogden Temple. Considering they had just sat through 2 hours of stake conference, they did pretty good.

As for the rest of the week, things have gone smooth. It was spring break around here which meant there was work, lots and lots of golf, playing at the park and meetings for mom and dad. We enjoyed the time that we were able to be together. Addie has been working on a paper mache project for her book report. She has done a great job and continues to do well in school. Emma got a new book at the book fair on Wedensday night and had it read by Thurs. afternoon. She absolutly loves reading. Macy has also taken to reading, I don't know where they get it from:) She reads a chapter book in 30 min. and loves it. Right now they are all in her room playing Library. She has done so well in school this year. Hyrum is still loving preschool and is almost finished. We are going to have to find something for him to do this next year to keep busy. Maybe a job at the Golf Course so Nate can golf for free:)
Easter Sunday finally came. Macy was convinced that last week was Easter and we were not telling her the truth. Maybe we have done that a time or two to be silly. Or not! We enjoyed stake conference and then much to our surprize some Bunny had left some eggs at our house. The kids were thrilled and sugared up. We have had a great day and look forward to a Yummy Dinner. Not really:) We had planned and prepared Roast, potatoes, carrots, whip cream salad and dessert and fresh rolls, only to find the crockpot is broken. So....chicken noodle soup anyone? At least we still have 1 of the 2 things that makes any day, Family...:) Well, on with the week with school, work and meetings. Hopefully somethings fun will happen to Blog about, but if not we will always have the ordianary. Till next time

Just Hangin' Out

This week as most weeks go was pretty uneventful. However if you just look at life through the eyes of a child you will find joy in all the little things that most people never notice. Like...Dogs and Cats, breakfast, dishes and especially Macy. This week, Macy has taken an interest in photography. I don't know about you, but I see potential. It started out a little embarasing as she would catch us in funny situations, and then we all started to hide. She went nuts with the pictures. Below are just a few of her priceless photos. Enjoy. I
ts what our week was made of:)

Not again...

This is just 1/1000 photos of the artist herself. As you can see she thinks she is very clever.

Last month Addie and Emma got a chance to do a report and poster on an article from the Friend and share it with everyone at our Mother Daughter book club. They did an amazing job. Each of them shared personal experiences of how they were living the Gospel in the same way that the girls in the story were. I was touched by their example and strenghtened by thier testimonies. We are truly blessed to be taught by them. They are all good, no great girls who love their Heavenly Father and who live the Gospel.

We loved watching conference this weekend as a family. We had a great time. While Dad and the kids enjoyed a game of Life, Mae and I goofed off in the kitchen while supposedly making muffins. Is anyone looking? I sure hope not. It's a good thing we have kids to help us loosen up some times.

Grandma Ashment came up last week to help as I was sick. I seem to do that alot lately. She played with the kids and had a blast with them. We appreciated her help so much. Luckily I found out from the Dr. that everything is well with my Kidneys. I know that it is through the prayers, fasting and the faith of family. Thank you for all of your love and support through these trying times. Our family has been richly blessed. We count you, our families as one of our greatest blessings.

Not everyone enjoyed the game of life. It is far to real. What? Pay for college, buy insurance, get a job, pay money for things that we did not really want to? Em was disenchanted with the fact that her house was broken and she would live in a dump. Luckily we know it is just a game and the future is what we make it. AHHHHHH she cried not that house.

As you can see from this picture Dad needs a few more kids to help him loosen up. He seems a little tight I think. HELP!!!!!!!! We LOVED having him home and all to ourselves this weeked.

I took Hyrum to a real putting green for the first time. Normally, we just putt in the hall into a cup. This time was for real. He had a great time. After hitting a putt, he would take a victory lap. I'm not sure why, but he kept doing it everytime.
